Simple Ways to be in Harmony with the Rhythm of Winter

  1. Slow down. Prioritize rest. 

  2.  Do gentle movement practices or exercise. Gentle is key. Good examples are qi gong and restorative yoga.

  3. Sip a mindful cup of calming tea.

  4. Sit or lay still and read a book.

  5. Journal for self-reflection.

  6. Dream or vision. 

  7. Meditate.

  8. Follow a simple relaxing bedtime routine – some possibilities include gentle breathwork, gentle stretching, and deep relaxation practices, such as yoga nidra. 

  9. Get plenty of rest and good sleep. Winter
